What you will do - Essential responsibilities

• The main duty of CarMaxs Automotive Repair Technicians is to inspect, restore, and mend vehicles to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of the customers
• Functioning as a joint unit to expediently troubleshoot technical difficulties
• Acquire hands-on experience in fixing domestic and foreign cars to become a proficient auto mechanic
• To maintain a safe and healthy workplace, it is essential to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems
• Knowing health and safety regulations is critical for preventing lawsuits resulting from workplace hazards
• Adept motor skills and enduring physical stamina, heft substantial loads, and walk and stand for extended periods without faltering
• Expertly juggling numerous tasks in a fast-moving work environment
• If you prioritize good communication and attention to detail, you'll be well on your way to success in any work you do
• Owning a current motorist's permit
• To comply with State or Local statutes, possessing ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2) is necessary
