Job Summary of Payment Desk Attendant:

The main duties of the Payment Desk Attendant involve delivering superior customer service, overseeing customer transactions at the point of sale (POS), restocking items, and preserving the store's brand and overall image.

Responsibilities for Payment Desk Attendant:

  • Demonstrate leadership aptitude in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all defined store and individual goals
  • Meet or exceed all predetermined objectives. These could encompass sales targets, hourly productivity levels, average dollar sale (ADS), units per transaction (UPT), conversion rates if necessary, charge account acquisitions, contest results, and any additional key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the brand
  • Display a proficient understanding and adept utilization of sales skills and customer service principles as set forth in Company's training materials
  • Foster and uphold connections with customers by portraying a warm demeanor and providing outstanding customer assistance
  • Actively participate in all contests, promotions, and sales incentive programs. Responsible for contributing to efforts in the stores achievements
  • Adhere to the company's standards in terms of appearance, proficiency, understanding, and personal grooming
  • Maintain awareness of all sales promotions. Skillfully manage multiple customers and projects. Ensure timely printing of merchandise tags
  • Grasp and communicate customer product needs, as well as engage with Store Management to evaluate the correspondence or disparity in the store's merchandise range concerning local requirements
  • Maintain the steady control of merchandise inventory and handle cash wrap operations daily as instructed
  • It is important to exhibit professionalism when dealing with customers, including answering phone calls in a friendly and professional way

Qualifications for Payment Desk Attendant:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous retail experience a plus
