Shift Controller

Job Summary of Shift Controller:

Advance the RGM through the execution of efficient shifts that operate autonomously, taking charge of problem-solving duties, reaching out to peers for support as needed, and fostering a culture of aiding and advising others.

Responsibilities of Shift Controller:

• Consistently follow the MIC Success Routine to uphold customer satisfaction by completing tasks associated with People, Customers, and Service.
• Ensure that each team member carries out their Shift Excellence responsibilities according to their designated positions.
• It is required for all employees to uphold a well-groomed appearance and adhere to the dress code set by the organization.
• Emphasizing the importance of fulfilling customer requirements at all costs is key. Making sure that food is safe, of high quality, and that orders are accurate is a priority. Addressing customer concerns promptly and maintaining a positive rapport with them is crucial.
• Greets clients cordially, exudes politeness, and communicates in a pleasant manner when engaging with customers.
• Works with urgency.Works with management and fellow employees.Cooperation with peers - work with fellow employees as part of a team, helps others when they need a hand.
• Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers.AttendanceUnderstands posted work schedule and reports to work as scheduled, on time, in uniform and ready to begin tasks. Provides appropriate notice when unable to be at work.
• Proficiently utilizes endorsed time management software to correctly log all hours spent on tasks.
• Demonstrates Initiative and Energy by acting independently, surpassing minimum obligations, and consistently showing a strong work ethic.
• Provide continual assessments to the RGM concerning the work performance of team members.
• Provide constructive and encouraging feedback to team members consistently.
• Takes an active role in training Team Members. Resolves conflicts in a productive manner and partners with the RGM to reach resolutions. Displays a responsible and committed attitude. Supports Profit and Loss management through the implementation of cash control measures, supervision of inventory levels, and supervision of labor allocation.
• Ensure that products are prepared, rotated, portioned, cooked, and held according to standards.
• Support RGM in facility upkeep and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Complete any other responsibilities assigned by manager.

Requirements of Shift Controller:

• Strong preference for internal promote form Hourly Champion position.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to do basic business math.Able to stock shelves and coolers.
• Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.
• Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin.
• Able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the restaurant.Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 90% of shift time.
