Job Summary of Assistant Office Manager:
In the role of an Assistant Office Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the operations within the branch, providing mentorship to tellers, and assisting in fostering a sales-oriented environment with the guidance of the Branch Manager. Your role involves actively promoting and suggesting bank products and services to clients to aid them in achieving their financial objectives, as well as making referrals to other specialized bank professionals. Additionally, you will be tasked with assuming full managerial responsibilities when the Branch Manager is not present.
Responsibilities of Assistant Office Manager:
- Supervise the completion of different routine financial transactions, including tasks like check cashing, money withdrawals, deposits, and loan repayments.
- Responsible for leading the sales, operations, and client service efforts, managing branch operations, and providing training and mentoring to tellers.
- Help in overseeing operational tasks to ensure they are completed promptly, while following policies and procedures to mitigate risks and achieve favorable results in internal audits.
- Assist customers in understanding their present and future financial needs through proactive conversations using the Banner Way method and tools.
- Responsible for proposing tailored solutions that align with the specific financial needs of the client. Refer clients to appropriate business divisions when required. Resolve queries and technical issues on client accounts.
- Develop and uphold a deep comprehension of operational processes and needs to meet compliance regulations proficiently.
- Responsible for abiding by and ensuring staff compliance with policies, procedures, security measures, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements of Assistant Office Manager:
- An equivalent to a high school diploma is a compulsory condition
- NMLS registration preferred
- Candidates must have accumulated four or more years of experience in retail banking
- The ideal candidate should possess less than two years of experience in a supervisory/management position handling projects, processes, or teams
Skills of Assistant Office Manager:
- Thorough comprehension of the nuances of retail product philosophy and the corresponding operational guidelines, inclusive of policies, documentation, and established systems. Adept understanding of the entire spectrum of retail products and services. Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing intricate accounts and managing consumer as well as QuickStep lending facets.
- Proven track record in client servicing, interpersonal acumen, and relationship establishment. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with a sound understanding of professional phone and email conduct.
- Display expertise in selling, upselling, and encouraging referrals.
- Display solid mathematical understanding, strategic thinking, and skilled negotiation proficiencies.
- Skill in evaluating customer credit data and related financial details proficiently.
- Practical experience within a financial sales representative-centric position.
